Public Poetry

Conceptual Installation

As a response to the prompt to create a poster with "a message from the future," I created a conceptual public poetry installation with the lines from Mary Oliver's "Wild Geese." Each line can be read and enjoyed individually as a stand alone piece or as a series, where a reader may have to skip around the city to find the next line. If a reader chooses, they may read the lines in the poem's intended order by following the gradient, the lightest color signifying the beginning of the poem and the darkest signifying the end.
